IDFC FIRST
How Do I Use IDFC FIRST Bank's BXP Online Trade Portal for Exports?
BXP lodgment walked field by field from the bank's own application letter, plus the two differently-priced trade schedules neither of which carries a date.

What is the IDFC FIRST BXP Online Trade Portal and where do I log in?
BXP stands for Business Experience Platform . IDFC FIRST Bank describes it as a single corporate portal that unifies Cash Management, Trade Services, Corporate Linked Finance and Treasury services. So trade is not a bolt-on site, it is a set of modules inside the corporate platform. The login is at bxp.idfcbank.com/iportalweb .
The single biggest trap for a first-time reader is naming. The same platform appears under three official labels depending on which part of the bank's website you landed on. If you have been searching for a "trade portal" and keep finding a "transaction portal", you were never in the wrong place.
| Name you will see | Where IDFC FIRST uses it | What it actually is |
|---|---|---|
| BXP. Online Trade Portal | Wholesale banking trade pages | The trade modules of BXP |
| Online Trade Platform | Business banking, under Digital Trade Solutions | Same platform, business-banking wording |
| BXP. Online Transaction Portal | Cash management channels page | Same platform seen from the cash-management side |
| CBX / Intellect screens | Page source of the BXP login; the companion Android app package | The underlying vendor product the bank has white-labelled. Seeing it does not mean you are on the wrong site |
Around the trade modules sit the rest of the channel family. Each has a specific job, and knowing which is which saves you hunting for a feature in the wrong window.
| Channel | What IDFC FIRST says it is for |
|---|---|
| BXP (bxp.idfcbank.com/iportalweb) | Letter of Credit complete lifecycle, Documentary Collection, Bank Guarantee, inward remittance disposal with FX rate booking, export lodgment with shipping bill selection, IDPMS and EDPMS regularisation, SWIFT and advices, view regulatory outstanding, online discrepancy resolution |
| BXP mobile app | Companion Android and iOS app; the bank publishes its version and checksum on the channels page |
| my.idfcfirst.bank.in | Retail and business net banking. A different channel that does not carry trade |
| Dedicated Trade Desk | The service route for anything the portal does not do |
| Wholesale Banking Form Center | The published trade and forex request-letter repository. The offline fallback pack |
How do I lodge export documents and select the shipping bill on BXP?
This is the best-documented export flow IDFC FIRST publishes. The BXP product page lists Export Lodgment with shipping bill selection , and the export finance page describes a paperless platform to lodge export bills with the Shipping Bills and settle inward remittance on the same page . The business-banking mirror adds Digital Lodgement: export lodgment with shipping bill selection and transaction status tracking .
Because the bank publishes no screenshots, the most reliable way to know what BXP will ask you for is to read the bank's own paper equivalent. The APPLICATION LETTER for Processing Export Documents is the offline version of the same instruction, and its field labels reveal the data model: shipping bill, GR or SOFTEX number; a forward contract number and amount to be utilised; an EEFC split instruction; and a field for the e-FIRC number in EDPMS where the proceeds were realised through another bank.
A goods exporter has shipped against a single shipping bill and is invoicing the overseas buyer on collection terms. The bank publishes no BXP manual, so this walk-through follows the bank's own
APPLICATION LETTER for Processing Export Documents
field by field, which is what the digital lodgment captures. </> } result={ <> One export bill lodged against one shipping bill, with the realisation route and the currency treatment already declared. Which is what later lets the shipping bill be knocked off in EDPMS instead of ageing as an outstanding entry. Publicly, the shipping bill and the realisation are handled on the same page; the bank prices
Export Bills on Collections at 0.0625% flat, minimum INR 1500
per bill on its trade fees page (date not stated by bank). </> } >
- Log in at bxp.idfcbank.com/iportalweb and open the trade module for export lodgment. Do not use the retail and business net banking login at my.idfcfirst.bank.in. It is a different channel and does not carry trade.
- Identify the export: the invoice and the corresponding shipping bill, GR or SOFTEX number . The BXP page describes shipping bill selection, so expect to pick the bill from your outstanding list rather than type it blind.
- Declare the realisation route. If the proceeds are already realised through another bank, the bank's own form asks for the e-FIRC number in EDPMS. Have that reference before you start, not after.
- Handle currency: if a forward contract is to be earmarked, supply the contract number and the amount to be utilised ; if part of the proceeds should sit in foreign currency, give the EEFC split .
- Submit before the published cut-off (4:00 pm for non-FX and 3:30 pm for FX) and track the request from initiation to completion, which the Online Trade Platform page states the portal does.
How do I give an inward remittance disposal instruction and choose the purpose code?
This is the other flow IDFC FIRST documents in detail. The Online Inward Remittance Settlement page states that you can settle incoming funds digitally without visiting a branch , that you choose how you want funds to be used, select purpose codes, provide deal details and submit your instructions online , and that the flow settles inward remittances in 3 clicks. It also states you can split credits across multiple accounts and/or multiple purpose codes. Which matters a great deal to marketplace and aggregator exporters whose single payout covers many shipments.
The wholesale mirror adds that you get alerts for your inward remittances and provide disposal instructions online . The purpose code you pick here is the one that follows the money into EDPMS and, later, into your eBRC . Our RBI purpose code guide covers how to choose it, and purpose codes for marketplace receipts covers the split-payout case.
| What the disposal instruction captures | Why it matters later |
|---|---|
| Purpose code and S.A.C. | Both appear on the bank's published disposal letter. The purpose code is what carries into EDPMS and the DGFT eBRC |
| Advance against export sub-options | The disposal letter carries explicit P0103 advance-against-export sub-options. Getting this right keeps an advance from being read as a plain export realisation |
| Credit account and split | Splitting across accounts and purpose codes online is stated on the settlement page; an EEFC credit changes the currency treatment |
| Forward contract utilisation | The disposal letter has a forward contract number and amount-to-be-utilised field; the settlement page lists forward contract application as a utilisation option |
| Downloadable proofs | The settlement page promises clear on-screen steps with confirmations and downloadable proofs. It does not say these are FIRAs. See section 5 |
How do I get a FIRC or FIRA from IDFC FIRST Bank for export proceeds?
This is the question that brings most exporters to this page, and it deserves the plainest possible answer: no official IDFC FIRST Bank page documents a self-service FIRA or e-FIRC download inside BXP . Not the BXP product page, not Digital Trade Solutions, not the Online Inward Remittance Settlement page. The settlement page promises "downloadable proofs", but it never says those proofs are a FIRA, and we will not soften that into a claim the bank has not made.
What the bank does state is sharper, and it points the other way. IDFC FIRST Bank's own Disposal Letter for Inward Remittance carries the note, verbatim: "FIRC will be only issued for Foreign Direct Investment remittances" . For export proceeds, in other words, the classic FIRC is not the document you are going to be handed. Meanwhile the bank's trade fees page does price Issuance of FIRC / FIRA at INR 500 per certificate and a duplicate at INR 1000. So a certificate service exists and is chargeable, but the channel and the eligibility are not published together anywhere.
The third data point resolves the picture. The bank's export document application asks for the e-FIRC number in EDPMS when proceeds were realised elsewhere. Meaning IDFC FIRST works off the EDPMS IRM and e-FIRC construct, a reference in a regulatory system, rather than a certificate you download from a portal.
| Document | What IDFC FIRST officially states | How you get it |
|---|---|---|
| FIRC | The disposal letter states FIRC will be only issued for Foreign Direct Investment remittances | Bank request, not a portal download; priced at INR 500 per certificate on the trade fees page |
| FIRA / inward remittance advice | No official page documents a self-serve FIRA download in BXP; the fees page prices FIRC / FIRA issuance together | Ask the Dedicated Trade Desk or your relationship manager for the inward remittance advice, and confirm FIRA availability with them |
| EDPMS IRM / e-FIRC reference | The export document application asks for the e-FIRC number in EDPMS where proceeds were realised through another bank | This reference, not a certificate, is what the bank works off for export realisation |
| eBRC | No IDFC FIRST page describes generating or downloading an eBRC inside BXP | Self-certify on the DGFT portal from bank-reported IRMs. See section 6 |
How do I regularise shipping bills in EDPMS and get my eBRC with IDFC FIRST?
IDFC FIRST is unusually forward about this one. The BXP product page states that it is the industry's first initiative to have a dedicated module for IDPMS/EDPMS regularization , and that you can see all your outstanding BOE/SB updated in our online portal and get it knocked off against your bills . The Digital Trade Solutions page repeats it as Online Regularisation: Import and Export Data Processing and Monitoring Systems can be regularised online , and the export receivables page adds that a single digital form captures all instructions to the bank at once . The portal also offers a View Regulatory Outstanding view, which is the screen you want open at month end.
The eBRC half of the question has a different answer, and it is not IDFC FIRST's to give. Under DGFT's revised regime the bank reports Inward Remittance Messages and the exporter self-certifies the eBRC on the DGFT portal . No IDFC FIRST page describes generating, viewing or downloading an eBRC in BXP. So the bank-side step is IRM reporting and shipping bill knock-off; the exporter-side step happens on dgft.gov.in. Our EDPMS reporting guide and eBRC filing guide cover both halves.
Open View Regulatory Outstanding in BXP. The bank states outstanding BOE and SB appear there, updated, to be knocked off against your bills. </>), soThat: (<> If it is there, this is a portal task. If it is not, stop guessing and raise it with the Dedicated Trade Desk. A missing entry is a data question, not a form-filling one. </>), }, , , , { ask: "Is the nine-month realisation clock about to expire?", check: (<> Export proceeds must be realised and repatriated within
nine months from the date of export
for all exporters, including SEZ units, EOUs and Status Holders. The fifteen-month period applies only to goods exported to a warehouse outside India. </>), soThat: (<> Raise the extension request before the deadline, not after. After it lapses, you are explaining rather than requesting. </>), }, , ]} conclusion= />
Which trade tasks work on BXP and which still need the branch or trade desk?
Everything below comes from IDFC FIRST Bank's own pages and published forms, read in August 2026. Where the bank states a capability, the table says portal. Where the bank says nothing, the table says so plainly and routes you to a person. It does not guess.
| Task | Where it happens | What the bank actually states |
|---|---|---|
| Lodge export documents and bills | Portal | Export Lodgment with shipping bill selection; a paperless platform to lodge export bills with the shipping bills and settle inward remittance on the same page. The paper application letter remains published as a fallback |
| Inward remittance disposal and purpose code | Portal | Settle incoming funds digitally without visiting a branch; select purpose codes; split credits across multiple accounts and purpose codes |
| EDPMS and IDPMS regularisation | Portal | A dedicated module for IDPMS/EDPMS regularization; outstanding BOE and SB shown in the portal to be knocked off against your bills. A chargeable paper route also exists for exceptions |
| Track bills and view regulatory outstanding | Portal | View Regulatory Outstanding at a click; track the status of every request from initiation to completion; email alerts on outstanding and after-settlement advice |
| Import payment against Bill of Entry | Portal | Bundled Offering: remittance request, FX rate and BOE submission all on a single page |
| Issue or amend a letter of credit | Portal | Initiate an LC and amendment requests on BXP; Letter of Credit complete lifecycle is listed as a platform service |
| Get an export LC advised | Bank-side; portal is a repository | A 24x7 repository of the advised LC copy on BXP. No online advising-request workflow is claimed anywhere |
| Issue a bank guarantee | Portal initiation, paper still in the loop | Bank Guarantee is listed as a BXP service, but the published request letter has a physical or electronic BG toggle and requires the signed hard and soft copy of the BG format to be enclosed. No end-to-end online BG journey is described |
| Book a forward contract | Portal | Enables booking FX rates and forward contracts seamlessly; forward contract application appears as a utilisation option at settlement |
| Cancel or roll a forward contract | Not documented. Confirm with your relationship manager | No official page or form describes cancelling or rolling a forward contract online |
| Download a FIRA or e-FIRC for export proceeds | Not documented. Confirm with your relationship manager | No page claims a self-service FIRA or e-FIRC download in BXP. The disposal letter states FIRC will be only issued for Foreign Direct Investment remittances. Ask the trade desk for the inward remittance advice or the EDPMS IRM reference |
| Get an eBRC | DGFT portal, not the bank | No IDFC FIRST page describes eBRC generation in BXP; exporters self-certify on DGFT from bank-reported IRMs. EBRC and IRM discrepancies go to the trade desk |
What do these tasks cost?
The charges an exporter using BXP actually meets, transcribed verbatim from IDFC FIRST Bank's Trade Finance Fees and Charges page . Stamp on this table: as published, effective date not stated by bank. The page prints no "w.e.f." anywhere; read August 15, 2026. GST and out-of-pocket costs apply extra, and charges on credit-backed transactions may instead follow your sanction letter.
| Charge | Amount (as printed) | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| Processing of Inward Remittance | INR 1000 | per remittance |
| Issuance of FIRC / FIRA | INR 500 | per certificate |
| Duplicate FIRC / FIRA | INR 1000 | per certificate |
| Bank Realization Certificate Charges | INR 300 | per certificate |

IDFC FIRST BXP onboarding and EDPMS closure checklist
Onboarding (one-time)
- Bookmark the right host: bxp.idfcbank.com/iportalweb for trade, not my.idfcfirst.bank.in
- Ask your relationship manager, in writing, for the current BXP request form and the company authorisation wording. Neither is published on the bank's website
- Decide maker, checker and view-only roles before the authorisation is signed, and name those people in it
- Confirm which modules the authorisation unlocks: export lodgment, inward remittance disposal, FX rate booking, EDPMS and IDPMS regularisation
- Get three answers in writing while you have the RM's attention: FIRA availability for export proceeds, forward contract cancellation route, and the bank guarantee paper requirement
- Download the trade-forex request letters from the Wholesale Banking Form Center and keep them as the offline fallback pack
- Ask which schedule of charges governs your account, since the bank publishes more than one and neither carries an effective date
Recurring EDPMS closure cycle
- Dispose every inward credit promptly with the correct purpose code, using the split across accounts and purpose codes where one payout covers many shipments
- Lodge export documents with the shipping bill selected, and carry the e-FIRC number in EDPMS where the proceeds came through another bank
- Open View Regulatory Outstanding at least monthly and knock off matched shipping bills against realised bills
- Track the nine-month clock: export proceeds must be realised within nine months from the date of export for all exporters including SEZ units, EOUs and Status Holders; fifteen months applies only to goods exported to a warehouse outside India
- Raise extension or write-off requests before the deadline, and budget the published INR 1500 per request for each
- Self-certify the eBRC on the DGFT portal from the IRMs the bank reports; take only IRM discrepancies back to the trade desk
- Store the settlement confirmations and downloadable proofs from the portal alongside your shipping bill file, and request a certificate from the bank separately when an auditor or scheme needs one
