How Do I Use the Bank of Baroda Trade Portal. BarodaINSTA SmartTrade Login, FIRC and EDPMS?
BarodaINSTA SmartTrade, which is not Baroda Connect and not bob FxOne: registration papers, export bill lodgement, remittance disposal, and what still needs the branch.

What is BarodaINSTA SmartTrade and where do I log in to the Bank of Baroda trade portal?
BarodaINSTA SmartTrade is Bank of Baroda's trade finance portal. The structural fact that most search results miss is that it is a separate portal , on its own domain, with its own Corporate ID. Not a tab inside internet banking. The live login sits at barodainsta.bankofbaroda.bank.in/mp/portal , linked from the bank's BarodaInsta SmartTrade product page . The bank's cross-border transactions page refers to the same channel as the "24x7 SMART TRADE PORTAL".
Knowing which of Bank of Baroda's three corporate logins does what saves you from hunting for a feature in the wrong place.
| Channel | What it is for | Login |
|---|---|---|
| BarodaINSTA SmartTrade | Trade finance requests and tracking: LCs, bank guarantees, packing credit, export and import collection documents, outward remittance, shipping guarantee, trade credit through SBLC | Corporate ID plus User ID, password and OTP on barodainsta.bankofbaroda.bank.in |
| bob World Internet Banking (formerly Baroda Connect) | Ordinary corporate banking. The official page lists bulk payments, salary upload, maker-checker and division maintenance, and does not list trade finance among corporate features | bobibanking.bankofbaroda.bank.in |
| bob FxOne | Treasury and FX dealing. Booking Cash, Tom, Spot, Forward, Bills and FX Option deals with token-generated confirmation | fxq.bankofbaroda.co.in, with 2FA and captcha; onboarding via the branch or Specialized Integrated Treasury Branch |
| Base branch, linked "B" category forex branch, and the two Trade Finance Back Offices | Where physical documents and FEMA declarations actually land. TFBO Bengaluru covers the South and North-East zone and TFBO Gandhinagar the rest, but the bank's FAQ is explicit that exporters cannot deal with a TFBO directly | In person or through your relationship manager |
How do I register for BarodaINSTA SmartTrade (application form, board resolution and legal agreement)?
There is no self-service signup. Registration is a paper pack submitted through your branch, which is exactly why so many Bank of Baroda exporters have never heard of SmartTrade: nothing activates unless someone asks for it. Bank of Baroda publishes every form you need as a PDF on its own domain.
Activation path
- 1 Fill the BarodaINSTA Smart Trade application form for non-individuals This is the definitive document. It carries the PRODUCTS REQUESTED tick-box grid (the list in the next table), and the User Administrator, Maker and Authorizer tables. A separate form exists for individuals and NRIs.
- 2 Name your users and set their authorisation limits The form provides for up to three people per role across User Administrator, Maker and Authorizer, each with a rupee authorisation limit, and asks for self-attested PAN and Aadhaar for every named user.
- 3 Pass the board resolution in the bank's published format Bank of Baroda publishes a BarodaINSTA board resolution format. Use it rather than drafting your own, and pass it before the branch visit. A re-convened board meeting is the most common cause of a stalled activation.
- 4 Execute the BarodaINSTA legal agreement (Annexure I) on stamp paper Required for non-individuals, executed at the branch and stamped as per your state's stamp duty. The FEMA Section 10(5) declaration sits inside the application form itself.
The tick-box grid is worth reading closely before you sign, because it is the most honest published statement of what the portal actually handles.
| On the "PRODUCTS REQUESTED" grid | Notably absent from the grid |
|---|---|
| Import LC; Inland LC | Inward remittance receipt and disposal |
| Foreign Bank Guarantee; Inland Bank Guarantee | FIRA / FIRC issuance |
| Packing Credit in INR and in foreign currency | EDPMS shipping bill regularisation |
| Export Collection Documents; Export Documents under LC | Forward contract booking and cancellation |
| Import Collection Documents | Bill of Entry reconciliation |
| Outward Remittance (advance, direct, and other than imports) | . |
| Inland Bills, inward and outward | . |
| Shipping Guarantee; Trade Credit through SBLC; plus a free-text "Any Other Trade Finance Facility" line | . |
How do I lodge an export bill on BarodaINSTA SmartTrade, and where do the original documents go?
Export bill lodgement is the one export-side workflow Bank of Baroda demonstrates step by step, in its official video #ThisIsHow to initiate lodgement cycle on export bill from BarodaINSTA . The split to hold in your head is that the request is a portal act and the documents are a branch act .
A goods exporter has shipped against an order on collection terms (not under an LC) and holds the invoice, transport document and shipping bill. SmartTrade is already activated with a Maker and an Authorizer. The steps below are the path named in Bank of Baroda's official lodgement video, which still speaks the older barodainsta.com address. </> } result= >
- Log in to the BarodaINSTA portal and open the Trade Services tab.
- Choose export / outward collection documents , then regular collection .
- Enter the request, drawee, shipment and bank details as the form asks.
- Accept the terms and conditions on the request.
- Print the transaction details, and have the Authorizer release the request within their rupee limit.
- Submit the physical documents to your base branch or linked B category branch. The bank's Export FAQ states the exporter has to submit the document there, and that exporters may not submit documents directly to a Trade Finance Back Office.
The same #ThisIsHow series covers export LC initiation (Trade Services, then export / inward letter of credit, then initiation), bank guarantee initiation (Trade Services, then Banker's Guarantee, then BG initiation, then "from scratch"), packing credit, standby LC, import bill payment, outward remittance, and a bulk upload option for creating transactions from a file. For volume exporters that upload option is the one to ask about early. For what belongs in the document set itself, see our export documentation checklist and the letter of credit guide .
How do I get a FIRC or FIRA from Bank of Baroda, and is there a download?
This is one of the highest-volume Bank of Baroda searches exporters run, and it deserves a plain answer: no Bank of Baroda page, FAQ, form or video found as at August 2026 mentions FIRC, FIRA or e-FIRC at all. Not the SmartTrade product page, not the cross-border transactions page, not the ten-page FAQ covering inward payments, imports, outward remittances and exports, and not the download-forms index. There is therefore no documented self-serve FIRA download in BarodaINSTA SmartTrade. We are not going to soften that into a "probably available".
What the bank does publish is adjacent, and useful. Its schedule of charges prices issuance of export related certificates at Rs. 100.00 per certificate (as published, effective 10 December 2022), which tells you a certificate request is a recognised, priced service even though the delivery route is not described online. On the outward side, the bank's FAQ commits that once a remittance is completed, a copy of the SWIFT MT103 with the debit advice is mailed to the applicant's registered e-mail, and the SmartTrade page advertises MIS data, debit advice and SWIFT copies available online.
| Document | What Bank of Baroda documents | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| FIRA / FIRC / e-FIRC | Nothing. No official page, FAQ, form or video found as at August 2026 mentions these documents | Confirm the issuance route and format with your relationship manager or base branch |
| Export related certificate | A priced line in the schedule: Rs. 100.00 per certificate | Request through the base branch; ask which certificate type covers your requirement before paying |
| SWIFT copy and debit advice (outward) | FAQ commits to mailing the MT103 copy with the debit advice to the registered e-mail after the remittance completes | Arrives by e-mail; SmartTrade also advertises online MIS, debit advice and SWIFT copies |
| eBRC | Nothing. And under the revised DGFT system it is not a bank-issued document anyway | Self-certify on the DGFT portal from the IRMs the bank pushes; see our eBRC filing guide |
How do I submit the inward remittance disposal instruction and purpose code?
Bank of Baroda answers this itself, and the answer is the branch. Its FAQ on inward customer payments says the customer is alerted by SMS or e-mail when the payment lands, and must contact the base branch and submit the duly filled and signed application form along with copies of supporting documents . If a credit has not reached you, the same FAQ says to contact the base branch.
The form is the Disposal Instruction for Foreign Inward Remittance , four pages, published on the bank's own domain. It is worth downloading before you need it, because it doubles as the purpose-code reference so many exporters go looking for: the RBI purpose-code annexure running from P0001 to P1503 is printed inside it.
| Block on the disposal instruction form | What it decides |
|---|---|
| Remittance type and purpose code | The RBI purpose code reported for the credit. The field that later drives EDPMS matching and the DGFT eBRC |
| Advance against export details | Where an advance is received (purpose code P0103), the form asks for the expected shipment date, which is what the bank then follows up against |
| EEFC and PC / PCFC credit split | How much stays in foreign currency and how much converts, and whether the credit first liquidates packing credit. The bank's FAQ says to mention the EEFC or RFC account number here to keep funds in foreign currency |
| Forward contract utilisation | Contract number, booking date, amount, due date and the amount to be utilised. A paper step even though booking itself happens on bob FxOne |
| FEMA Section 10(5) declaration | Your signed declaration that the transaction does not contravene FEMA. The reason this form cannot simply be an unsigned portal click |
How do I regularise EDPMS shipping bills and get an eBRC with Bank of Baroda?
No Bank of Baroda page, FAQ, form, video or SmartTrade tick-box found as at August 2026 mentions EDPMS, IDPMS or shipping bill regularisation. That absence is the finding, not a gap in the research: at Bank of Baroda, regularisation is a branch process routed through your base branch or your linked "B" category forex branch , the only submission route the bank documents for export documents. The Trade Finance Back Offices at Bengaluru and Gandhinagar process the work behind the scenes but are explicitly off-limits to customers.
What Bank of Baroda does publish for this cycle is its price list, and the price list confirms the process exists even where the webpages are silent: extension of the due date, GR waiver certificates, write-off approval and late submission of documents all have published lines (section 7). Read them as a map of the branch conversations you will have.
For the eBRC itself, route the work to DGFT rather than the bank. Under the revised DGFT system the AD bank pushes Inward Remittance Message data to DGFT and the exporter self-certifies the eBRC on the DGFT portal, so the Bank of Baroda side of the job is accurate IRM reporting after disposal. Not certificate issuance. If an IRM is missing or wrong on DGFT, that goes back to your base branch. Our EDPMS reporting guide , EDPMS under Rs 10 lakh guide and pending-realisation letter template cover the mechanics and the paperwork the branch will ask for.
Which trade tasks work on BarodaINSTA SmartTrade and which still need the branch?
This is the honest core of the guide. Every verdict below comes only from Bank of Baroda's own pages, forms, FAQs and videos, read in August 2026. "Portal" means the bank itself documents a self-serve flow. Where the evidence is absent or the bank's own sources disagree, the only safe answer is to confirm with your relationship manager.
| Task | Verdict | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Lodge export documents / bills | Portal for the request, branch for the documents | Export collection documents and export documents under LC are tick-boxes on the application form, and an official video shows the lodgement path; the Export FAQ requires submission at the base branch or linked B category branch |
| Apply for an LC | Portal | Import LC and Inland LC are tick-boxes; the terms and conditions name an Import Letter of Credit issuance request as a Corporate User action; export LC initiation has its own official video |
| Advising of an incoming export LC | Bank-side act at the AD branch | The Export page describes the bank advising LCs opened by the overseas buyer's bank and adding confirmation; the portal gives you the record and the follow-on request, not the advising itself |
| Issue a bank guarantee | Portal | Foreign and Inland Bank Guarantee tick-boxes; terms and conditions name a Bank Guarantee issuance request; official BG initiation video. Issuance still depends on sanctioned limits or collateral arranged with the branch |
| Book a forward contract | A different portal. Bob FxOne, not SmartTrade | bob FxOne books Cash, Tom, Spot, Forward, Bills and FX Option deals with instant token-generated confirmation; onboarding is via the branch or Specialized Integrated Treasury Branch, not self-service |
| Cancel or roll over a forward contract | Confirm with your relationship manager | No official page describes cancelling or rolling a forward online. Utilisation against an inward remittance is a paper step on the disposal instruction form |
| Receive an inward remittance and declare the purpose code | Branch | FAQ: contact the base branch and submit the duly filled and signed application form with supporting documents. The SmartTrade page's mention of inward remittances is contradicted by the application form and the FAQ |
| Download a FIRA / e-FIRC | No self-serve download is documented. Confirm with your relationship manager | No Bank of Baroda page, FAQ, form or video found mentions FIRC, FIRA or e-FIRC. The only committed self-service document is the outward-side SWIFT MT103 with debit advice by e-mail |
| eBRC or BRC | DGFT portal, not the bank | No official Bank of Baroda page mentions eBRC or BRC; under the revised DGFT system the bank pushes IRMs and the exporter self-certifies on DGFT |
| EDPMS / IDPMS regularisation documents | Branch | Nothing on any Bank of Baroda page, form, video or tick-box; documents go to the base branch or linked B category branch, never to a Trade Finance Back Office directly |
| Track a transaction or bill status | Portal | The product page describes dashboards, live tracking of transaction status, real-time updates, customised MIS, due-date maintenance, notifications and online MIS, debit advice and SWIFT copies |
| See which shipping bills are still open against your IEC | Confirm with your relationship manager | No Bank of Baroda source claims the portal exposes shipping-bill-level EDPMS status; read it on the DGFT and EDPMS side or ask the branch |
| Import payment against a Bill of Entry | Portal for the payment, branch for the Bill of Entry | Import collection documents is a tick-box and there is an official import bill payment video; the Import FAQ lists the application form, commercial invoice, transport documents and evidence of import / Bill of Entry as branch submissions, and no reconciliation module is described |
The grid names Import LC, Inland LC, Foreign and Inland BG, packing credit in INR and FCY, export collection documents, export documents under LC, import collection documents, outward remittance, inland bills, shipping guarantee and trade credit through SBLC. </>), soThat: (<> If yes, start in the portal: log in and open the Trade Services tab. If it is not on the grid, the portal is almost certainly not the channel. The grid is what your users were actually enabled for. </>), }, , , , ]} conclusion= />

Bank of Baroda trade portal checklist for exporters, from activation to EDPMS closure
Activation (one-time)
- Current version of the BarodaINSTA Smart Trade application form for non-individuals collected from the branch, with the PRODUCTS REQUESTED grid ticked for everything you expect to need this year
- User Administrator, Maker and Authorizer named, with rupee authorisation limits agreed internally and self-attested PAN and Aadhaar for each user
- Board resolution passed in Bank of Baroda's published BarodaINSTA format, covering the same product list and the same users
- BarodaINSTA legal agreement (Annexure I) executed at the branch on stamp paper as per your state's stamp duty
- Base branch confirmed, and the linked "B" category authorised forex branch identified in writing. This is where every document will go
- Separate decision taken on bob FxOne if you hedge, since forward booking is a different portal with its own onboarding through the branch or Specialized Integrated Treasury Branch
- Written confirmation from your relationship manager on the three areas official sources leave open: FIRA or certificate issuance route, forward cancellation or rollover, and whether any inward remittance disposal is available in the portal
Recurring export cycle
- Raise the lodgement request in the portal the day the documents are ready, then deliver the physical set to the base branch or linked B category branch. Late submission after 21 days from shipment carries a published per-shipping- bill charge
- On every inward credit alert, take the signed disposal instruction to the base branch with the correct RBI purpose code, the EEFC or PC/PCFC split, and any forward contract utilisation details
- Ask the branch about a One Time Payment Instruction if the same overseas buyer pays you repeatedly
- Track every open bill against the nine-month FEMA realisation clock from the date of export. Nine months applies to all exporters including SEZ units, EOUs and Status Holders, with fifteen months only for goods exported to a warehouse outside India
- Request due-date extensions before, not after, the 270-day mark from the shipping bill date, since that is where the published charge changes from Nil
- Hand EDPMS regularisation documents to the base branch, never to a Trade Finance Back Office, and escalate turnaround through the bank's online complaint portal if the branch stalls
- After bank-side reporting, self-certify the eBRC on the DGFT portal from the pushed IRMs, and take missing or wrong IRMs back to the base branch
